Churches throughout the Northwest Independent Church Extension region (Washington, Oregon, Northern California, Idaho, Montana, and Nevada) are eligible to request pulpit supply support. We give preference to those associated IFCA and to those theologically aligned with the our statement of faith. We review all other requests on a case-by-base basis and may reach out for additional information.
-
Please submit 4-6 weeks in advance to allow for scheduling and coordination. Last-minute requests (2 weeks and under) may be accommodated depending on availability.

Pulpit supply is a ministry aimed at supporting local churches, and Northwest Independent Church Extension does not request or require any financial reimbursement. We do encourage churches, when feasible, to provide an honorarium and/or reimbursement for the speaker’s travel expenses directly to them. This is a meaningful way to bless those who serve, but it is never required. Our primary goal is to support your church’s needs without adding financial pressure.

Hosting a guest preacher is straightforward. Here’s what we recommend:
Clear communication: Please share the service times, order of service, any special instructions, and other relevant details in advance.
Bulletin & media: Let the speaker know promptly if you need biographical information, a photo, sermon title, or slides.
Warm welcome: A friendly greeting and warm hospitality make for a memorable experience.
Optional hospitality: Some churches choose to provide a meal or refreshments after the service. This is completely optional and entirely up to your church’s preference.
We’re here to make the process as easy as possible for you. If you have any questions or special circumstances, feel free to let us know.

While each preacher has their own unique personality and delivery, NICE guest preachers focus primarily on expositional preaching. We value the authority, sufficiency, and inerrancy of the Word. This means they carefully explain the original meaning of a biblical text while applying it to our lives today.

Our team will review the submission and follow-up within two business days to confirm that we are processing the request. We will reach out if we need additional information. You are always welcome to contact us with questions. Once we select an available speaker, we will connect you with them.
“I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus… preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.”
